2022 – A Month In

Well, this is it, this is the year of it all. Now that we are a month into 2022, I think it has finally hit that this will be the year of changes. The year will be filled with so many lasts. My last semester of college, last time living in Chapel Hill, evenings spent with my best friends at our favorite places, lake days and so many traditions coming to an end. When everyone said “time flies,” they weren’t kidding. Guess it’s true what they say, time flies when you are having fun! (corny I know, but true!)

But crazy enough, it’s also the year of firsts. My first full-time job post-graduation and being a “real” adult with so many other firsts I couldn’t even begin to imagine. The possibilities are endless, which feels exciting yet overwhelming. The uncertainty of what the near future holds can be overwhelming but the excitement for what the next chapter holds helps me try to relax and enjoy the lasts before jumping into the future. Achieving this balance can sometimes even appear impossible. Because of this, I have decided to just live in the moment, enjoy it while it lasts, and make new memories in the time left.

So here is the inspiration for my blog.

Especially as a last semester senior, it’s time to be present in the moment and enjoy the times with friends, show some school pride, and try something I always said I wanted to try! I want to take advantage of the moments left with the people around me. 2022 will be the year a lot will change, but why not enjoy the journey!
